Maddy has been involved in the performing arts since she was very young with dance classes and youth drama clubs. Her first role onstage was in The Wedding Singer when she was 12 years old and this sparked her love of musical theatre. Since then she has played roles such as Gabriella (High School Musical), Satine (Moulin Rouge), Lucy (Snoopy! The Musical) and others. She is a qualified primary school teacher and has had her first contract this year with a gorgeous year 2 class, as well as working hard to balance this new chapter in her career with her first experience as a Musical Director.
Maddy has been involved with Wanneroo Rep since 2014 when she played the role of Miss Bingley in Pride and Prejudice. This role was the beginning of a great relationship with both the theatre and many of its members and she has been an active participant in different ways since then. She has worked both backstage and onstage and have found a great team of people to make every show fun. As well as Pride and Prejudice, Maddy played Pauline in The Darling Buds of May and Lucy in Snoopy! The Musical (both 2015), and has worked backstage for Sweet Charity (2015) and Blitz! (2016) before taking on the role of Musical Director for The Wedding Singer this year.
Maddy has found The Wedding Singer to be incredibly fun and energetic and has something for everyone. Whether it’s the big, bright colours, the awesome songs that tip their hats to the great 80s pop ballads or the quirky and fast paced comedy of the show. She has loved working on this show and experiencing life as a Musical Director.

Dave is currently co-directing The Wedding Singer with close friend Jen Edwards. He has thoroughly enjoying working with a great team of people, a lot of whom are new members to the club. Dave believe people should see The Wedding Singer because of the great costumes set and music. ‘This has been a real team effort from everybody involved,’ says Dave. ‘The music is worth the price of admission alone!’
The Wedding Singer runs until the 9th of December at The Limelight Theatre.
