Hello members and friends
Our final newsletter for 2018, and what a very full and interesting year it has been!
Five in house productions, two other theatre groups plus the North Coastal Children’s Community Choir with their Christmas Pantomime this year! It’s impossible to say which of these was the ‘best’ production, as that would be different for each person who came to see them. I have a soft spot for our first venture into the world of Shakespeare (Romeo & Juliet), but equally I enjoyed “The Envelope Please” especially as it encouraged new community members to join in the fun of presenting a live production.
I am always delighted to see so many of our audience members who come along to everything and would like to thank you all for your continued support – it means a lot to us.
There are many other people I would like to thank, particularly at this time of the year. The ‘unseen’ workers and supporters of our company – the lighting, the sound technicians, the wardrobe and props people, the maintenance crew, the backstage crews, the committee and the front of house volunteers. And of course the performers! Where would we be without our talented singers, dancers and actors? This year has brought us many, many new performers of various ages, and I really hope they will become members and continue their association with Wanneroo Repertory.
And finally on a personal note, I’d like to thank members and friends the support they have given me during this year. It has been a difficult year in some ways, but the theatre has always, and will always, lift my spirits.
